Psalm 25:8-13

12 13 2020 Psalm 25 8 thru 13.jpg

Today we are reading Psalm 25.
As we read, these verses stood out to me:

Psalm 25:8-13 - The Lord is good and upright; Therefore He instructs sinners in the way. 9 He leads the humble in justice, And He teaches the humble His way. 10 All the paths of the Lord are faithfulness and truth To those who comply with His covenant and His testimonies. 11 For the sake of Your name, Lord, Forgive my wrongdoing, for it is great. 12 Who is the person who fears the Lord? He will instruct him in the way he should choose. 13 His soul will dwell in prosperity, And his descendants will inherit the land.

Honest Questions

1. Stop for just a second and pray. Ask God to cause you to remember one or two people that need to be reminded of the goodness of God. Would you be willing to reach out to that person in some way and tell them that the Lord placed them on your heart today?

2. What kind of relationship do you have with sinners?

3. Who is the most humble person you know? What is one thing you could do to privately express your appreciation/admiration of that person?

5. What do you know about the "covenant" and the "testimonies" of God? Where could a person go to learn more about either of these things?

6. When was the last time you asked God to forgive your sin? Would you be willing to take some time to go to the Lord in prayer and ask Him to forgive you of any of your wrongdoing?

7. Do you think of yourself as a person who "fears the Lord?" If so, what does that mean to you and how does it play out in your life on a regular basis?

8. How are you doing on the inside? Is it well with your soul? Why or why not?

9. What is was your favorite verse in Psalm 25 and why?

10. Do you have any specific questions or prayer requests after reading Psalm 25?
